Wielkie Monologi On Youtube

Zbigniew Preisner has recently collaborated with Jerzy Trela, the distinguished Polish theatre actor, in an original music theatre production titled Wielkie Monologi, directed by Krzysztof Jasiński. Jerzy Trela is well-known in Poland for his outstanding performances at the Stary Teatr, Krakow.

Wielkie Monologi is based on 19th and 20th century Polish romantic poems by A.Mickiewicz, C.K. Norwid and S. Wyspiański, which were performed in the Stary Teatr in the 1960s and 70s, directed by Konrad Swinarski and Jerzy Grzegorzewski.

Music for the production was composed and conducted by Zbigniew Preisner and joining Jerzy Trela in the performance in Bobowa were: Teresa Salgueiro (voice), Konrad Mastyło (Hammond organ), Jzef Skrzek (moog) and a six-piece male voice choir: Jan Mędrala, Sławomir Biernat, Jzef Dwojak, Kamil Barczewski, Stanisław Drużkowski and Marek Płtorak.
