Preisner's music for Thomas Vinterberg's play 'The Funeral' released on CD and download

Zbigniew Preisner has compiled a CD titled Danse Macabre from the music he recently composed and produced for the play Das Begräbnis (The Funeral), the new play by Thomas Vinterberg and Mogens Rukov (see news item below). The music is performed by the Symphonic Orchestra of the Calisia Philharmonic, conducted by Adam Klocek, who also plays solo cello. Other featured soloists include the Norwegian trumpeter Mathias Eick and the young countertenor voices of Marcel and Nikodem Legun. Danse Macabre is now available as a download from music.preisner.com.

A limited number of CDs are also still available by mail order.
