Preisner Contert in Athens, sunday 30th may 2010

Zbigniew Preisner presented an evening of his film and theatre music at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall on Sunday 30th May 2010. The concert featured the Polish soprano Elzbieta Towarnicka. The programme included music from his scores for the films of Krzysztof Kieslowski, selections from his large-scale work Requiem for my friend and first performances of several new works, including a suite of Greek songs sung by Manolis Lidakis. Zbigniew Preisner and Ioakim Baltsavias conducted the City of Volos Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.
